Niuzai Douzheng

A.K.A Uncle Rick

Rick “Niuzai” Douzheng – Founder & Commissioner, Outrider Bull Riding League (OBRL)

Rick Douzheng — known in the arena and media circles as “Niuzai” (Mandarin for “bull”) — is the driving force behind the Outrider Bull Riding League (OBRL), the Northeast’s first professional team-based bull riding league. As founder and commissioner, Rick is building more than a league — he’s building a movement.

With a deep passion for the sport, a sharp eye for branding, and an unwavering respect for the grit of western athletes, Niuzai created the OBRL to bring big-league energy to bull riding across the Northeast — and beyond.

 Bringing NIL to the Dirt™

Rick is also the architect behind “NIL to the Dirt”, an initiative that gives rodeo athletes, bull riders, and brand riders access to name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities — from merchandise to media deals.

He knows the game is changing, and he’s making sure riders don’t just risk it all in the chute — but get paid for the value they bring in and out of the arena.

 Podcaster & Media Producer

When he’s not building the league, Rick is behind the mic producing original cowboy sports media — highlighting riders, teams, and the business of the sport. From gritty interviews to matchday analysis, he’s curating a media engine to fuel the OBRL and tell the stories of riders the way they deserve.

 Vision

Rick’s mission is clear:

To create a high-impact league, elevate homegrown bull riding talent, and give fans a team to believe in — while turning rodeo athletes into household names.

With the OBRL, Niuzai is rewriting the rulebook on what modern bull riding looks like.
